Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School Principal
Job Description
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Parish, located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, currently has a full time Preschool and Kindergarten. For 2018-19 we will be expanding the school to include First Grade and possibly adding a Second Grade or a combination classroom. We anticipate up to 20 students in each classroom. The school will be housed in our Parish Center with plans for a new building in the near future.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of expanding our school, we require a dynamic practicing Catholic educator to take on the role of Principal as soon as possible. This position would entail overseeing the planning and implementation of every aspect of the school’s expansion with the goal of becoming a certified Preschool through 8th Grade Catholic School.
Requirements:
- Practicing Catholic in good standing
- Masters Degree in Education – Administration preferred
- Is certified as a Principal or is able to become certified by the State of Arizona as a Principal
- Be able to meet Ministry Formation Certification as required by Diocesan policy
- Experience as a classroom teacher
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must have a vision of Catholic education in the 21st century that includes technology and current teaching methodologies, a sound knowledge of school finances and development, and an understanding of marketing and recruitment strategies in a competitive environment
- Ability to work in a Parish environment in which the school is one ministry and be a flexible team player who relates well to a cohesive and busy Parish staff
- Bilingual helpful but not required
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is negotiable based on experience, education, and credentials. Benefits include employee health insurance, retirement, sick leave, short term disability and social security.
