This is a full-time position working as an Instructional Assistant.  The schedule would be 7:30-3:30 Monday- Friday and the pay is $12.08/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED with at least some college
• Must participate in Safe Environment Training and sign the Code of Ethics Policy
• Identity Verified Fingerprinting shall be obtained prior to employment.

The Instructional Assistant would assume responsibility to assist the classroom teachers with supervision and care of students, classroom procedures and routines, assist the teacher in maintaining a safe physical environment and with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, and outdoor play.

Instructional Assistant will help to set up the classrooms, clean up, and prepare materials and help provide the arrangement, maintenance, cleanliness and security of the classroom (including equipment) and assists the teacher to work with individuals and groups of students, including actively engaging children in meaningful learning activities and experiences.

The successful candidate will be able to establish a good rapport with children, using respectful individual and responsive practices with students and may be asked to attend meetings and in-services as required by a teacher or administration. Additional time required to become more knowledgeable about effective and appropriate teaching strategies. They must strive to establish and maintain cooperative, supportive and effective relationships with all school and parish personnel.

Catholics applicants will be given preference and must be willing to make a public profession of faith. Non-Catholic must be willing to sign the Diocese of Phoenix Division of Education and Evangelization Profession of Faith form.
