Job Overview:

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a vibrant and nurturing Catholic educational institution, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher Coach/Resource Specialist. This role is essential in fostering academic excellence by supporting and coaching teachers across all academic areas. The successful candidate will also serve as a liaison between the school and the local school district, particularly in the creation and management of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized coaching and professional development to teachers across all academic subjects.
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on best practices, educational innovations, and curriculum development.
  • Model effective lesson plans and teaching practices for teachers. 
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of instructional materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and refine lesson plans and assessment tools.
  • Stay current with educational research and trends to offer relevant and effective support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the school and the local school district regarding ISPs.
  • Work closely with diocesan personnel to ensure compliance with regulations and the effective implementation of ISPs.
  • Coordinate meetings and communication between the school and district to address any issues or updates related to ISPs.
  • Engage in collaborative planning with school administration to align instructional practices with the school's mission and goals.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that reflects the Catholic values of the school community.
  • Assist teachers and administration with creation of in-class intervention support systems for all students as well as students with special needs.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as determined by the Principal to support the school’s mission and operational needs.

 

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification and extensive experience in classroom teaching.
  • Proven experience in instructional coaching or professional development.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment.
  • Familiarity with the process and requirements of ISPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education.
