Position Overview:
- Part-time position responsible for scoreboard operations and game management during home athletic events including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and football games.
- This is a paid position
Essential Duties:
- Operate scoreboard, game clock, and sport-specific timing equipment
- Maintain accurate records of scores, timeouts, fouls, and other game statistics
- Work collaboratively with officials, coaches, and athletic department staff
- Assist with basic game operations setup and breakdown
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of basketball, soccer, volleyball, and football rules
- Ability to learn NFHS rules and apply AIA regulations
- Quick decision-making skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to attend scheduled games
- Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous scoreboard/clock operation experience, but not required
- Experience working in educational or athletic environments
- Knowledge of high school sports protocols
Schedule:
- August through May (school year)
- 10-25 hours per week
- Evening shifts between 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Some weekend events required
- Hours vary based on home game schedule
